4 Days Desert Tour from Fes to Marrakech Itinerary
Day 1: Fes - Ifran - Azrou forest - Midalet - Merzouga desert(2 nights camp).
In the morning, we’ll start our first four-day trip Fes to Marrakech via Merzouga desert, after breakfast, the driver will wait for you near the hotel or riad, then we’ll continue our way via big Atlas mountains and also landscapes, we’ll arrive at Ifran, then we’ll have to visit the lion stone after the finish, we’ll continue the way to Azrou forest, that place has monkies wild while no one can judge them, which means they are free, you’ll take some pictures, then we have many kilometers to Midelt city, Also, because the city is famous for apples as well as its culture/traditional/agriculture/nature, we must take a break at the restaurant while we eat our lunch. After lunch, we have to cross the Atlas mountains with its panoramic view and via Zaabel tunnel then we’ll arrive in Errachdia panoramic where many people are taking a rest and some pictures, in the afternoon we’ll arrive in Merzouga desert where the camels are waiting for us to ride them through the sand dunes and to see the sunset then we’ll continue the way to the camp, you’ll enjoy your time with the sky full of stars and fire with Berber music you’ll spend a night in the camp.
Day 2: Merzouga villages & center around the desert.
In the morning, after you witness the sunrise and have breakfast, we’ll start another four-day experience. From Fes to Marrakech, we’ll see how nomads live, how they make money, and what their cultures/traditionals are. We’ll also see a small village where black people live and their music, which is known as (gnaoua khamliya). We’ll also see the lake that connects all of the villages in the Merzouga desert, as well as some Berber clothing and food. After seeing all of the experiences, we will return to the camp and spend the night there.
Day 3: Merzouga desert - Rissani - tinghir - Boumaln dades.
After spending the night at the camp and experiencing the activities, we will embark on the third day of our four-day Fes to Marrakech desert vacation to Boumaln Dades. After seeing the sunrise and eating breakfast, we’ll leave the desert behind and travel to Rissani city. We’ll visit the souk, where many Berbers and Arabs conduct trade and industry; it’s also an amazing experience. We’ll see things that people in Rissani are famous for, such as an Arabic pizza called Madfouna and dates. We had lunch at a place with the best food.
After resting, we’ll proceed over the mountains, passing the Ziz valley, to Tinghir city, which boasts an extraordinary gorge (Todra gorge) as well as lovely palm plantations, and where many visitors visit. Boumalne Dades is not far from Tinghir city, and we will travel there to spend the night at the riad. The city is also known for its traditional architecture and traditions, as well as its population, and the wonderful Dades valley, where the riad is located.
Day 4: Boumaln dades - Ouarzazate - Ait ben hadou kasbah - Marrakech.
After all of these amazing last three days that we spent together, here’s the fourth and final day of our four-day tour Fes to Marrakech. This day is filled with adventures and villages that make you imagine how they live up in the mountains, how they get money and food, and everything else that keeps them safe.
In the morning, exactly after breakfast, we’ll leave the hotel through small villages like Magouna Castle, where the roses are produced, this region they call it the roses city, then we’ll arrive at Ouarzazate city, where some movies were filmed here, and also this city is famous for the movies and the foreign actors who came to filmed many movies and also they’ve built studios. All of these events made Ouarzazet famous. After we leave Ouarzazate, we will visit Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah and have lunch. This kasbah is a collection of traditional buildings; 50 families once lived in this village but are now leaving because the kasbah was destroyed by rain and is also old; approximately for movies were filmed here. After that, we’ll depart Ait Ben Haddou and travel through the Atlas Mountains, with its landscape and villages. This route has zigzags and leads up the mountains. We’ll arrive in Marrakesh in the afternoon and will head directly to (Riad / Hotel). The end of the four-day trip from Fes to Marrakech.
