6 DAY FROM MARRAKECH TO ESSAOUIRA

Description 6 DAY FROM MARRAKECH TO ESSAOUIRA VIA TAROUDANT:

6 DAY FROM MARRAKECH TO ESSAOUIRA , Marrakesh, a former imperial city in western Morocco, is a major economic center and home to mosques, palaces and gardens. The medina is a densely packed, walled medieval city dating to the Berber Empire, with mazelike alleys where thriving souks (marketplaces) sell traditional textiles, pottery and jewelry. A symbol of the city, and visible for miles, is the Moorish minaret of 12th-century Koutoubia Mosque

Itinerary for 6 DAY FROM MARRAKECH TO ESSAOUIRA VIA TAROUDANT:

Day 1: Marrakech - Taroudant via Tizi Ntast:

Long trips from Marrakech allow you to familiarize yourself with Berber village life as you make your way to a Berber family’s home in the High Atlas Mountains. So on the first day we left the bustling city of Marrakech towards Taroudant through the TizintTast mountains. The trip actually begins as soon as we pass the city of Tahanaout (32 km). Take the road to the green landscapes of Asni Wurgan, passing through the valley of Nafis where the old Kasbah is located, and you will reach the Tizi N Taste pass (2092 meters). This traditional crossing point was controlled by the Berber tribes because of the kasbah they built until the turn of the century. This is the opportunity to discover the varied and fascinating panoramas of the High Atlas with its terraced terrestrial villages and its cultures. Passing through Ouirgane, the road becomes more winding and exciting. The Ouirgane dam gives way to OuedN’Fis, which has been digging for thousands of years in an impressive canyon. Arrive at Taroudant with its walls rising in the middle of the Sous valley to discover its nine gates. In a subtle and charming setting, Medina seems to have changed very little since the time of the conquerors. What is exceptional is that above this quiet town float the memories of a prosperous past, first the monotheists, then the Marini and the Saadi, then the Portuguese and the French. Do not forget to enter the Berber markets and discover the treasures hidden in the small stalls facing the streets of the medina. Spending the night there allows you to quickly change gears, see space-time, and give you a promising glimpse into your journey.

Day 2: Taroudant - Tafraout.

After my delicious early morning breakfast, we headed to Tafraout on the second day of our trip. From Taroudant to Tafraout, the landscapes compete with colorful marvels. As Tafraout approaches, the mountains rise. Above our heads, the rocks are tinged with pink, a color that goes well with the blush green of the springtime tufts of grass lining the ground. Located at the foot of the Atlas Mountains at 1,200 meters above sea level, Tafraout (“Small Basin”) owes its name to the circular panorama which opens into a bowl in the shape of a valley. The architectural curiosity of this region is that it has a high concentration of Agadir or collective barns. Once you arrive you will realize that Tafraut is worth it. You can discover the desserts of their precious oils, including their famous casserole with almonds and peaches, and the sparkling peaks offer impressive views at sunset. Therefore, spending the night there gives you a kind of peace and quiet, as well as spiritual security.

Day 3: Tafraout - Tiznit - Mirleft

On the third day, get up to enjoy the sunrise over the foothills of the Atlas Mountains and have breakfast with Amalou; a Blend of almonds, olive oil, argan oil and other natural ingredients. Next, head to Mirleft through the bustling town of Tiznit. A beautiful path leads from the canyon to the valley and takes you to a multitude of different places, including charming Berber villages. Then, gradually, the twists and turns separate. Mountains full of wild argan trees and lavender give way to a vast desert plain. The suburbs of Tiznit are not very attractive. However, once through the magnificent fort that protects the city, the charm of the ancient Moroccan cities works, as we will have lunch and then continue our journey. Finally, like a mirage, Mirleft, a picturesque seaside town, appears at the end of the straight line. There will likely be an afternoon coffee or tea, a social event that touches the warm hospitality of the Berber fishermen in the village. The old Spanish fort overlooks Mirleft. You can see the Spanish influence in most of the streets and buildings of the Moroccan hills of the charming village where you can spend a quiet night to the gentle rhythm of the waves.

Day 4: fishing trip to Mirleft

Mirleft is a good place to relax and sunbathe. Wake up on the morning of the fourth day to the sound of a naive sniper and have morning coffee on the picturesque beach and beautiful scenery. As Mirleft is an unspoilt fishing village near the Atlantic Ocean coast, a wonderful fishing trip awaits you. The trip was filled with water sports and outdoor activities such as paragliding, horseback riding, quad biking, and fishing. Sites There are the best places for unforgettable fishing sessions to discover the fishing spots and enjoy the beauty and wealth of the Amazigh community that lives from fishing while maintaining its friendly atmosphere and traditional Moroccan lifestyle. And what makes the picnic amazing is that we will cook the fish on the grill on the beach. It will be very tasty to have lunch there. The beaches are quiet enough for a relaxing afternoon stroll and exploring the scenery. After enjoying its fish-rich waters, beautiful sandy beaches and yellow cliffs that sparkle even more in the afternoon sun, we return to your accommodation in Mirleft for dinner and a quiet night by the sea. peace in a relaxed atmosphere with always pleasant temperatures.

Day 5: Mirleft - Essaouira

After sunrise on the fifth day, you will have a delicious breakfast and then take us to our new destination; Essaouira. Tiznit pass and crossing of the Souss-Massa nature reserve towards Agadir and then towards Essaouira. The legendary city of Mogador. A long journey full of adventures and a stopover for unforgettable photos along the Atlantic coast where the charm of small fishing villages and all the peace and serenity are inevitable. We will make a small stopover in Agadir; Regional capital of Souss-Massa, it is a welcoming and clean city. The entire region has paradisiacal landscapes and an exceptionally mild climate throughout the year. After having lunch and fresh air, we continue our journey in Essaouira. Arrive at night and welcome the lights that shine around its strong walls. After dinner, we spend the night in an exceptional city with a gentle breeze, which is enchanted by the mildness of its climate and its gentle rhythm with the roar of the waves.

Day 6: Essaouira - Marrakech

However, the Essaouira number means “beautiful image” or “well painted”. So we got up early on the sixth day of our trip to enjoy the beautiful and real photos that preserve all the secrets of the mythical city of Mogador and have a delicious breakfast. It is necessary to take advantage of the atmosphere of its port and stroll through its markets and its picturesque souk inside the medina, to sense its Moroccan spirit within the strong walls of the castle. A natural art gallery not to be missed under any circumstances to discover the precious art collections and indigenous folk traditions of the region. Mogador remains above all a cultural destination, with its endless sandy beaches and beautiful panoramic views of the ocean. It also attracts lovers of relaxation and water sports.
