Our 2-day tour from Marrakech to Zagora begins at 8:00 am when we pick you up from your hotel or riad in a comfortable, air-conditioned 4×4 vehicle.

As we head southeast, we’ll pass through the town of Orche and several small villages scattered along our route. After about 100 kilometers, we’ll begin ascending the Atlas Mountains, reaching the highest pass in the Tizi N-Tichka range at 2,160 meters. During the winter, this pass is often covered in snow. We’ll take a break at one of Tichka’s terraces to enjoy a coffee, stretch our legs, and fully wake up.

Continuing on, we’ll pass through a series of Berber villages nestled among the hills and mountains, with ever-changing landscapes to keep the journey interesting. After another 90 kilometers, we’ll arrive in Ouarzazate, where we’ll stop to visit the incredible Kasbah of Taourirt, once home to Gaid Pacha Glaoui, and the Cinema Museum, as Ouarzazate is a renowned filming location for international movies.

Next, we’ll travel through picturesque valleys for another 90 kilometers until we reach Agdez, where we’ll enjoy stunning views of the palm groves from an elevated vantage point. After taking in the scenery, we’ll make a small detour to cross a river and drive through the fields to reach Talmnougalt, where we’ll enjoy a delicious lunch in a beautiful Kasbah. The terrace here offers a sunny spot to warm up in colder weather while overlooking a palm grove.

After lunch, our desert journey continues to the town of Zagora, where we’ll embark on a camel trek. The camels will be waiting for us at the end of the road to take us to our desert camp just in time for the majestic sunset—a perfect opportunity for memorable photos. Upon arrival at the Zagora desert bivouac, the staff will welcome us with mint tea and guide us to our tents. The clear night sky in the desert reveals countless stars and constellations.

We’ll enjoy a delicious home-cooked dinner followed by a gathering around the campfire, sharing stories, singing, dancing, and laughing as we forget the outside world.
