Itinerary 3 Days Fes to Marrakech Desert Tour
Day 1: Fes - middle atlas mountain - Ziz Valley - Merzouga:
Fes city to desert, begin Our 3 days Fes to Marrakech Desert tour includes a drive via the Middle Atlas Mountains past Ifrane City, Morocco’s Switzerland, and a large cedar forest where monkeys reside. Ifrane is one of Morocco’s most attractive cities, and it is extremely clean; in 2013, it was named as the second cleanest city in the world; yet, the name is derived from the Berber language and means caverns. But what makes this facility truly unique is the ability to be outside in the Cidre.
In addition, we proceed down the road to the cedar forest to observe how Barbary Maky (a sort of monkey) enjoy their free lives. After that, we travel to the final city in the Atlas Mountains, Midalet. This city is known for its apples and cool weather all year, and Midalt serves as the commercial center of a big agricultural hinterland. It is also one of Morocco’s most important mining cities, and we stop for lunch.
In the afternoon, we continue our journey to the desert across the large Ziz valley and other tiny settlements. We will halt in the large panoramic of Ziz valley for great views and refreshment.
The camel awaits you on the golden sands of the desert. When you arrive in the desert, the camel guide brings you to the middle of it for a stunning sunset. After the sunset, the camel guide leads you to the camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Merzouga desert – Erfoud - Tinghir - Boumalne Dades:
Our second day of a 3 days desert tour from Fes to Marrakech. After breakfast in the middle of the desert and the breathtaking dawn, your camel guide transports you back to the same location where the driver will await you for the start of the second day.
This day will be fantastic; we will travel from the desert to Erfoud, a little town known for its stones (fossils). We will see the large Marble Stones Association, and the people of this town are Berber and Arabic. From here, we proceed to several tiny villages before crossing the valley through Tinghir, a Berber village.
Do you want to discover Tinghir? There are countless options. Tinghir is a charming town known for its magnificent palm groves and famous Todra caves. Tinghir is a town in eastern Morocco, in the Souss-Massa-Drâa region, located in the Todgha valley, at the end of the High Atlas and facing the Saghro mountain, and we will stop occasionally for some beautiful views and pictures. Form here, directly to Boumaln Fathers. Etymologically, the name Boumalne Dades derives from some historical characteristics that are solely dependent on oral tradition.
The common assumption is that Boumalene is derived from Bou l’Male, which refers to a place of business and trading, particularly cattle. Dades, on the other hand, is derived from a narrative of a nomad who arrived in Boumalne. We will visit the Boumaln Dades gorge, which is not far from where we will spend the night, but we will travel there to explore and discover the great gorge of dads. After that, we return to the hotel for dinner and stay overnight in Boumalne Dades.
Day 3 : Boumalne Dades - Rose Valley - Ouarzazate - Ait ben Haddou - Marrakech:
After a delicious breakfast in the hotel, we say goodbye to Boumaln Dades and set out to explore a new place and city. We drive through the rose valley and explore the rose city, which is famous for its roses and the people who organize the flower festival every year (April).
Then we continue on to Ouarzazate, or (city without noise) because it is a quiet place. We see some notable landmarks in that city, such as Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, as well as film studios because many world superstars visit this city to view the movies that were filmed there. So Kasbah ait Benhaddou was named a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987, and various notable films have been filmed there. Here are several examples: Gladiator (2000) – Lawrence of Arabia (1962) – Sahara (2005) – Mummy (1999). The majority of the city’s population live in the new town across the river, but some families continue to live in the ksar and visit film studios to explore it.
We will stop for lunch and rest in this wonderful city before continuing on to Marrakech across the high Atlas Mountains, stopping a few times for pictures and vistas. Arrive in Marrakesh and check into your hotel or riad.
