Itinerary 2 Days tour from Fes to Merzouga desert Sahara
Day 1: Fes to Merzouga Desert Via Middle Atlas:
Begin your two-day desert excursion from Fes to Merzouga with a hotel pickup after breakfast. The first stop will be in Ifrane, sometimes known as the Swiss of Morocco, where you may admire its beauty and snap wonderful photographs. After that, visit Azrou to see the monkeys in the cedar forest.
We continue on to Midelt (the apple capital) for a great and local lunch. In the afternoon, we cross Tizi N’Talghoumt Pass to reach Errachidia, savoring the beauty of the Ziz Valley. Later, we’ll stop to take in the panoramic beauty of Ziz Valley.
The desert excursion continues to the Erg Chebbi dunes via Aoufous and Erfoud (the latter is well-known for fossils and data), where you can stop at a local fossil craft workshop.
Then see the spectacular Erg Chebbi dunes. Arrive at the location where camels will transport you across the orange dunes, and prepare for an hour-and-a-half camel ride to view the sunset. On the back of your camel, you will travel to the desert camp and spend the night in a traditional nomadic tent. After dinner, you will enjoy listening to and dancing to some Berber music known as drum music.
Day 2: Merzouga Desert to Fes Via The Ziz Valley:
The next day, we recommend waking up early to watch the sunrise on top of a dune in the Sahara desert near the camp, followed by breakfast and a shower at the camp.
After these magnificent moments, return your camel to its original starting location or bring it in 4×4 if preferred. After meeting your driver, your 2-day Desert excursion from Fes to Merzouga will include breaks for panoramic views, photography, and lunch. Arrive in Fez in the afternoon/evening, transfer to hotel/riad, and conclude our two-day Fes desert journey to Merzouga.
